Clare has been in practice for 30 years. She provides individual therapy, couples therapy and family counseling using an integrative approach. Underlying her approach are the strong foundations of her training in Family Systems Theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodrama, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Solutions Focused Therapy, and Trauma Therapy. The work of Terrence Real and Relational Life Therapy has most significantly influenced her clinical practice.
The focus of therapy is empowerment through insights and new skills, carried out in a respectful and encouraging environment so that clients can bring their best self to their life and relationships. Clare guides people through a process of being able to speak truthfully about their painful and complicated life stories, including family of origin trauma, affairs, addictions, sexuality concerns, boundary and self-esteem issues. Using a variety of techniques, she helps clients to understand the unhealthy dynamics that keep them stuck. Clare motivates clients to move forward in more mature ways: showing respect, cherishing, listening and speaking with love, asking for what they need, and giving what they can. Clients learn how to build a happier life and healthier relationships. Clare is fluent in English and Hungarian.
