Mindfulness meditation is the practice of focusing on the present moment. Being mindful means being able to identify and tune in to what is happening in your mind and in your body as well as the outside world, moment by moment. It involves being able to practice direct awareness to what you are doing at the time of doing. When the mind is gathered in the present moment, we are able to witness our thoughts without being drawn into the past or future. In this Meditation Event, participants will be guided through a variety of meditation practices.
