Biography: Dr. Lyn Allison Langlois has worked as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist since 2006. She is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Dr. Langlois obtained her Master’s Degree at the University of Waterloo and her Doctoral Degree from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology in Atlanta, GA. She interned at Johns Hopkins University before going into private practice. Her clinical expertise includes anxiety disorders, depression, somatic disorders, family discord, relational difficulties, problems managing day-to-day responsibilities, and difficulties transitioning to the next phase in life.

Dr. Langlois utilizes evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Insight oriented work is imbued in the sessions as well. Dr. Langlois focuses on resilience, rather than weakness; empowering clients to find their strengths, their inner truth, and the ability to manifest their true potential. Sessions are collaborative and active. In an empathic way, she listens to the nuances of each individual’s concerns, through an atmosphere of acceptance and genuineness. A yoga instructor since 2008, Allison incorporates mindfulness and breathing exercises when appropriate.
