Biography: Payal Bhole is a Registered Social Worker with 10 years of clinical experience providing therapy to older adolescents and adults. She holds a Master of Social Work degree and an Honours Bachelor of Science degree with High Distinction, both from the University of Toronto. She is a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers as well as the Ontario Association of Social Workers.
Payal works with individuals and couples struggling to manage personal relationships and feel secure in their identity. Her clinical expertise lies in trauma therapy with a particular focus on anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress (work-related or personal), attachment trauma, sexual assault/abuse, sexual harassment, and intimate partner violence. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP), and Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy (EFT-C). She holds additional qualifications in treating complex trauma. Payal also utilizes elements of narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy and mindfulness-based interventions.
Payal believes in a client-centred approach and offers a choice/combination of talk therapy, cognitively oriented interventions and body-based interventions.
